Another transit day as we left English soil and headed to Paris.
We bid a hasty farewell to Evie and South Wingfield this morning.  It has been wonderful to stay with Evie and we can’t thank her enough for her warm welcome, generosity, and late night chats over a glass of red – thank you Evie!!!
After the windy weather of the last week I was a little concerned about the size of the plane when it arrived, and Alex wasn’t convinced that the propellers on the outside were such a good idea.  Pleased to report that we’re now in Paris in one piece, again, with all our luggage.
Our apartment is in the Latin Quarter, about 400m from Notre Dame.  It’s a fantastic spot and we enjoyed hitting the streets as soon as we arrived, with the setting sun providing great light for a few pics.  We’re close to the Boulevard Saint-Michel so it’s left me humming ‘Where do you go to my Lovely’ by Peter Sarstedt all afternoon…

I think the highlight for the girls was all the fantastic little food and gift shops on Rue Saint-Louis en I’lle.  The fromageries really caught their eyes after they’ve developed a particular liking for cheese in South Wingfield.  I think there may be a fair amount of Brie and Camembert consumed in the next few days…
Tonight, it’s time to relax before a big day on the streets of Paris tomorrow!

Love M & theBunch xx
